Lapwings - Lapwing tracks

Prskavka

Sex: female

Transmitter: 0B27

Monitored from: 14.5.2024, Puchlovice – Boharyně

2024: In the 2024 breeding season, Prskavka was caught at a nest in a field between Puchlovice and Boharyně. She successfully hatched chicks, which she moved to an adjacent field. She is often spotted at the sandpit near Lhota pod Libčany, together with other tagged lapwings.

Prskavka started her migration in the second wave and left the Czech Republic on October 6th. She crossed Germany, taking a northern route around Erfurt and Marburg, passed through Luxembourg, and stopped in France. In France, she made two short stops: first at Châlons-en-Champagne (10 days) and then at Limoges (5 days). Afterward, she continued her journey to Spain, where she stayed northwest of Cáceres, near the Portuguese border. On November 11th, she crossed into Portugal and settled east of Lisbon, where she stayed until the end of the year.

2025: At the beginning of 2025, Prskavka was still in Portugal, near the village of Santo Alexio, close to Estremos.
