Year 2021: Franz was in the forests around Písek until at least 29.7.2021 and there are no locations until the end of the year.
Year 2022: After a long time, new location came on 26.1.2022 and very surprisingly from Morocco, where this male wintered and stayed until 17.2.2022. This is probably the southernmost record from the wintering site of our woodcock. Subsequently, he moved to northern Spain, where he stayed from 21.2. to 9.3.2022. On 10.3. he moved again and on 15.3.2022 he returned to the Písek Mountains, where he stayed until at least 30.8.2022. The next location came on 22.12. as well as the previous year from Morocco, where he stayed until the end of the year.
Year 2023: Franz stayed until 3.3. in Morocco, less than a day later he reported from the east of Spain and 5.3. from France. On his return, however, he missed Czech Republic and sent data from Poland on 13.4. He continued to Belarus until he crossed the border and arrived in Russia on 26 April, but here he turned back and started heading back. Then on 9.5. he arrived to Czech Republic and stopped again in the Písek Mountains.
