Lapwings - Lapwing tracks

Brusinka

Sex: female

Transmitter: 1936

Monitored from: 17.4.2025, Ražice (CZ)

Year 2025: Brusinka was caught on April 17, 2025, in Ražice, as the last of three lapwings marked in southern Bohemia in the Písek region. She’s truly an adventurer. After an unsuccessful nesting attempt in Ražice, she moved on April 24, heading all the way to Jemnice (Vysočina). By May 12, she had turned back and moved to the area around Kardašova Řečice, than continued towards Soběslav. At the turn of May and June, she started incubating a second nest, but unfortunately, this attempt also ended in failure. On June 4, she was still around Kardašova Řečice, where she began taking shorter trips to the nearby area (e.g., to Velký Ratmírov or Roseč), mostly moving around the countryside near Plavsko.

Like Andreska, Brusinka also left the Czech Republic in the second half of September. She too found her wintering grounds in France, in the area around Revigny-sur-Ornain.
