Year 2024: During the 2024 breeding season, she was captured on a nest in a field near Obědovice, but the nesting attempt was unsuccessful. She then nested for the second time in a field near Káranice, but this nest fell victim to predation. From the second half of June, she has been roaming around the villages of Káranice, Obědovice, Krásnice, and Rohoznice. Along with other tagged lapwings, she is frequently observed at the sand quarry near Lhota pod Libčany.
On October 24, as part of the second migration wave of lapwings, Mařena left the Czech Republic. She passed through Germany and Luxembourg and arrived in France near Reims. She remained there until December 29, when her transmitter sent the last recorded position to date.
