Year 2024: During the 2024 breeding season, she was captured on a nest in a field between Horní Ředice and Rovensko, where she successfully hatched chicks.
On July 8, 2024, she began her migration to Western Europe, traveling through Germany (Dortmund) and Belgium to France (Reims). She stayed southeast of Reims until the second half of October, for about two months. On October 22, she continued her migration south and, with several brief stops, arrived in Spain (near the village of Cáceres at the border with Portugal) on October 29, where she remained until the end of the year.
Year 2025: In January 2025, Kikina remained at her wintering site near the Portuguese border. She began her migration back on 18.2., stopping in the Chalon-de-Champagne area. She then continued through Germany, which she crossed on 6.3., and by 7.3., she had returned to the Czech Republic.
From 10.3., she moved around the area near Horní Ředice, where she started looking for a suitable nesting site. At the end of April, she attempted her first nesting, but this attempt ended unsuccessfully, possibly due to predation or the nest destruction by a farming machine. After 2.5., Kikina’s transmitter stopped sending data, and her fate remains unknown.
